What are some good ideas for this dip?
Smoked Salmon and Goat Cheese dip is like a spreadable canape topper that can be used for any variety of things. It is great simply smeared onto crackers. It works great on cucumber wheels, and can be stuffed into celery sticks. You can also use mini rye toasts to make mini sandwiches. It is pretty rich on it’s own but almost can become a meal. You can even top it with salmon roe if you are so inclined and have access to it. We recommend serving it with pita bread or crackers. Some other great accompaniments for smoked salmon and goat cheese dip:
- Radishes cut into quarters
- Beet, yuca, or plantain chips
- Cauliflower and baby carrots
- Toasted baguette
- Top with crushed pumpkin seeds, chives or red onion, or truffle oil
- Serve with parmesan crisps
- Warm blini
I’m not so sure about the chipotle. Is it necessary?
This recipe for Smoked Salmon and Goat Cheese Dip calls for canned chipotle in adobo. While it is not necessary we like it not only for the added spice but the lovely smokiness that comes with it. If you are looking for milder spice or smoke level feel free to leave it out. If you opt out of the goat cheese also, you may want to add a couple of spoons full of mayonnaise to cut the cream cheese.
